This Privacy Policy explains what information Dentro ("Dentro", "we", "us") collects when you use our app at dentro.app and our website at getdentro.com (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information
You sign in with Google. Through Google Sign-In we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password.
Content you provide
When you study a song we store the audio you upload, along with the study data you create, such as playlists, saved sections, progress, and vocabulary you review.
Payment information
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly. We do not see or store full card numbers. We receive your subscription status and limited billing metadata needed to manage your plan.
Usage and device information
On our website we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, which set cookies and collect standard analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. We and our providers also keep standard server logs for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To provide the Service, including separating songs into instrument stems, aligning and translating lyrics, and saving your study progress.
- To create and manage your account and your subscription.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- To respond to your messages and send you important notices about the Service.
Service providers we share data with
We use a small set of trusted providers ("subprocessors") to run Dentro. We share only what each one needs to do its job:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage (Cloud Storage) that host your account and content.
- Stripe — subscription payments and billing.
- Replicate and AudioShake — audio processing that separates a song into instrument stems and aligns lyrics.
- Anthropic — AI processing that powers lyric translation and word meanings.
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — website analytics.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
Your audio and copyright
You should only upload audio you have the right to use. Audio you upload is used to provide the study features to you and is processed by the providers above. See our Terms of Service for the rules on content and copyright.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and content while your account is active. You can cancel your subscription at any time from inside the app. To delete your account and associated data, email us at dentro.app.info@gmail.com and we will delete it, except for records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies for analytics as described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings. The dentro.app application uses only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and running.
Children
Dentro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures from Google Cloud and Stripe to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
